Mama Mare Breast Cancer Foundation
RWJUH Healing & Education Center
The Mama Mare Breast Cancer Foundation and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital of New Brunswick, NJ have teamed up to create this extraordinary Healing and Education Center, which opened on January 28, 2012 and is located on 4 North at the heart of RWJUH Oncology Department.

This new facility provides a serene area for patients and their families, a resource center soon to be complete with tablets for easy access to research and finally, a boutique to provide wigs, turbans, prosthesis and other items needed by cancer patients.

RWJUH Infusion Center Grant
The Mama Mare Breast Cancer Foundation is thrilled to announce our $45,000 grant for televisions and DVD players in the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Infusion Center at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey.

With 11 treatment beds and 31 treatment chairs, the individual televisions and DVD players will provide the more than 16,000 patients who receive care annually at the Infusion Center with a comforting and relaxing environment to make their treatment (an average of five hours at a time) a little easier.

Through this gift, the Mama Mare Breast Cancer Foundation will continue to provide comfort within healing, touching the lives of patients and families and carrying on the kindness and caring that is the legacy of Mary Ellen Pernice.
